Perfect Supplier is a data-driven platform for retailers and brands, allowing authorised users to track sales, stock, and promotions at store level. Objective

Design a cohesive, intuitive UI for both iPad and iPhone (portrait and landscape) that presents complex data in a way that is visually clear, actionable, and easy to navigate, even when users are working with large volumes of data.

My Role

I led the UI and visual design of the app across all devices and orientations. This included:

• Designing iPad and iPhone interfaces optimized for both portrait and landscape

• Creating dashboards, alerts, and reporting screens that handle large, complex datasets

• Designing visual components and iconography to support clarity and usability

• Developing a consistent visual language for colours, typography, and layout that scales across multiple data-heavy screens

Design Approach

The main challenge was making dense, multi-layered information accessible and actionable. My approach included:

• Using hierarchy, colour, and typography to highlight critical metrics and trends

• Creating visually intuitive ways to interpret data, from maps and charts to alerts and reports

• Ensuring offline functionality felt seamless and that alerts were prominent but not intrusive

• Focusing on navigation patterns and layout decisions that make it easy for users to move through tons of data without feeling overwhelmed

Outcome

The resulting app delivers a visually cohesive and functional experience. Users can:

• Access multiple years of sales history instantly

• Track promotions, stock, and NPD at store level

• Visualise share-of-shelf and planogram compliance

• Receive relevant, actionable alerts each morning

• Generate Monday Reports in minutes rather than hours

Overall, the design aimed to balance data density with clarity, helping Perfect Supplier users navigate large amounts of information efficiently while maintaining a consistent, polished visual experience across devices.
